The SS26 Collaboration WHERE REBECCA’S GOLDEN PIECES MEETS HELMSTEDT’S PAINTED UNIVERSE.
July 2025. A collaboration with Danish fashion brand Helmstedt made its appearance online – a project that became a playful exploration of our shared fascination with nature’s hidden ecosystems: mushrooms, fungi, bees, and the quiet beauty of underwater life.
For me, jewelry has always been more than adornment – it’s performance, presence, emotion. With Helmstedt, I wanted to push this further and create pieces that felt theatrical and bold. Sculptural gold forms, oversized and expressive, made to command attention on the runway and in photographs. These were not quiet jewels – they were characters, alive inside Emilie’s painted universe.
Alongside the runway designs, I also created a mobile sculpture for the show – a suspended installation of floating forms and delicate connections. Moving softly in the air, it became a bridge between Emilie’s dreamy textiles and my sculptural jewelry, a story told in motion.
This collaboration also brought something lasting: three special jewelry pieces inspired by Helmstedt, available on my website – two rings and a necklace, all handcrafted in 24-carat gold. While the runway pieces were made to be bold and theatrical, these collectible designs carry the same energy in a form meant to be worn and lived with.
What made the process meaningful was how naturally it grew. Emilie’s prints, full of playful detail, found echoes in my designs. And my jewelry, in turn, became an extension of her universe. Nothing stood alone; everything was connected, just as in nature.
This collaboration was, for me, a celebration of craft, friendship, and imagination. Looking back, I’m proud of the world we created together – one where paint and gold met, and where stories grew into form.
What fascinated us during our work process:
Emilie Helmstedt has always been drawn to storytelling through fabric, turning paintings into prints that carry small details and playful worlds.
“During this collaboration, I was fascinated by how Rebecca’s jewelry could step into those worlds. Her pieces were bold, theatrical, almost like characters on their own – yet they fit seamlessly into my universe of fabrics and colors.”
Rebecca Elbek is fascinated by the way ecosystems connect – mushrooms, bees, and corals – each one growing in relation to the other, never in isolation.
“What struck me during the process was seeing how Emilie’s prints carried the same energy: alive, detailed, interconnected. Translating that into gold felt natural – the jewelry became theatrical and sculptural, but also carried that same sense of connection and life.”
