Spiral galaxies are twisted collection of stars and gas that often have these beautiful shapes and are made up of hot young stars. The spiral galaxy in this piece is filled with pink sapphires.
The seven opal beads that I’ve putted on the chain symbolizes the Seven Sisters, also called the Pleiades. The sisters is a group of stars that were all born around the same time from a gigantic cloud of gas and dust.

This special piece makes me think of sisterhood, power through hardships and intense love and compassion which are the symbolic of the pink sapphire.

Description

To the Moon and Back is a collection inspired by the universe itself; all the things that exist in all of space and time, including planets, stars and galaxies. Each one of the jewelry that I made for this collection tells a little unique story about space. By exploring this collection you will find descriptions about the symbolism of the different opals, diamonds and sapphires. 

I am really fascinated by the galaxy spirals and the black holes which you will experience are reflected in the pieces that I have made for this special and spacey collection.

All our pieces are handmade. Due to the holidays we currently have 6 weeks of delivery time. We strive to deliver to you as fast as possible. Should you need your piece of jewellery before 6 weeks, please do not hesitate to contact us and we shall do our outmost to meet your request.

How do i care for my jewellery? We highly recommend avoiding lotion, hairspray and other cosmetics to be in contact with your jewellery. Please do not wear your jewellery while sleeping and doing sports. Please remember to avoid exposing your jewellery to water, salt, chlorine and other chemicals. Please store your jewellery in a dry room or in a jewellery box. Rebecca Elbek jewellery boxes or pouches are an ideal way to protect and store your jewellery when not wearing. How to clean your jewellery: Soak your jewellery in lukewarm soap water for a few minutes before rubbing it gently with a soft toothbrush. This should remove any build-up dirt without being too abrasive or damaging to the texture of the gold. If in doubt you are always welcome to contact us.
