The two pieces are made in my signature way of working with imperfect shapes and a rough look combined with John’s masculine world of skulls, handwriting, motorcycle and impeccable focus on details.]]>     A collaboration on a signet ring and a gold pendant with American artist John Copeland.

    John is not only an amazing artist and painter he is also very good with words, which was the reason why I ended up using one of his many quotes on the Pendant. His handwriting has been transformed and hand-engraved directly from his sketch into the two 14 carat pieces.

    “I normally work with oil paint and bronze in a much larger scale, so it was interesting for me to work with Rebecca in a new materiale and on a more intimate scale. I wanted the ring and pendant to have the aura of a quick from the studio or a homemade tattoo. To preserve that raw energy”

The jewellery originates from what is hidden beneath the water surface. The inspiration comes from underwater treasures and marine life such as shipwrecks, underwater ruins, beautiful coral reefs, strange marine animals, and perhaps even sunken treasures. However, it is not only the objects and elements themselves but also the erosion and new life that starts to evolve on all of these being kept underwater for a long time. Everything that is hidden below the surface of the water is a mystery and a source to create new pieces of art – a new fairy tale.

It is said that seashells have gentle healing energy. ]]>     The 585 collection has a masculine look with raw shapes and unpolished surfaces with large signet rings and chunky chains. The seashell, the classic anchor and the Galion figure as a guardian angel are all symbols with references to the sea and life underwater. This is an ever source of inspiration to Rebecca. The name of the collection refers to the blend ratio in 14-carat gold, which means that the total of 1000 parts of the alloy is 585 parts gold. This is the only time Rebecca is working in this specific carat and so the name of the men’s collection seemed obvious.

The change of a treasure that has been lying underwater for many years. The corals and seagrass, which slowly take over the treasures and gives a new life and expression to the piece under the deep blue sea. The spiral is one of the oldest geometric shapes found.
