Mexico City is definitely one of my absolute favorite travel destinations. Many neighborhoods in Mexico City are safe and fun to visit, if you know where they are and which areas to avoid. My favorite neighborhoods are Roma which is young and hip and Condesa that is more chill and authentic. No matter how you end up spending your time in Mexico’s capital, one thing is for sure: you’ll be scheduling your second trip before your first one is even finished.
Museum Frida Kahlo
This place is one of the places where I find so much inspiration by the colors, collection of art, the personal items and all the storytelling behind. The museum is known for its cobalt blue exterior and is where Frida Kahlo was born, raised, lived with her husband and died. This place is definitely worth a visit if you are into the creative world and love art and design.
Luis Barragan House and Studio
This museum is Luis Barragan’s former house and studio and is worth visiting for those who love architecture, design and color play. You get so fascinated by all the thoughts behind every little detail in the house and Barragan’s genius use of color, light, shadow, form, and texture.
